Instructions

  1. In small saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberries, cane sugar and water.
  2. Simmer for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries break down and mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Strain through fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp. Pour into jar and refrigerate.
  5. In small skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  6. Add brown sugar and oats. Stir continuously for 3–5 minutes, until golden and fragrant.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool. The mixture will crisp up as it cools.
  8. Fill glass with ice.
  9. Add 2–3 tbsp blackberry syrup.
  10. Pour in oat milk.
  11. Add 2 shots of espresso
  12. Top with cold foam, if using.
  13. Sprinkle oat crisp on top and enjoy immediately!
