Chilled Asian-Inspired Green Bean Salad

This recipe features honey, tamari and tasty spices to create a well-rounded dish with a robust flavor profile. Serve as a side dish or enjoy it on its own. Feel free to add tomatoes and sliced carrots for a colorful salad option when leafy greens just don’t do it for you.

Ingredients

1 lb. fresh green beans, ends snapped
1 Tbsp. tamari
1 1/2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
1 Tbsp. peanut oil
2 tsp. Frontier Organic Ground Yellow Mustard Seed
1/4 tsp. Frontier Organic Ground Ginger Root
1 tsp. Frontier Sea Salt
1 tsp. honey
2 tsp. cold water

Directions

1. In large saucepan, cook green beans until crisp-tender. Chill in cold water, then drain and pat dry.
2. In small dish, combine mustard powder and water, stirring until mustard is dissolved.
3. In large bowl, combine salt, ginger, honey, tamari, vinegar and oil. Stir in mustard and water mixture.
4. Add beans and toss well. Chill and serve.
