Makes: (About) 20 ornaments

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups ground cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
2 Tbsp. craft glue

Other materials:

Medium mixing bowl
Rolling pin
Plastic wrap
Straws
Baking sheet(s)
Glitter glue/paint
Thin ribbon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 200° F.

2. In large bowl, mix together all ingredients until well combined. With hands, continue kneading until dough forms. (Note: If dough feels too dry, add more applesauce; if too wet, add more cinnamon.)

3. Divide dough into fourths. Working with one fourth at a time, place ball of dough between two pieces of plastic wrap. Roll dough to ¼” thickness.

4. Remove top layer of plastic wrap and use cookie cutters to shape ornaments. Use straw to poke hole at the top of each ornament. Repeat with remaining dough.

5. Arrange ornaments on baking sheet and bake for 2 to 2-1/2 hours. (Note: Ornaments may curl slightly, but baking will give you the quickest results. If you have a dehydrator, you can dehydrate ornaments on highest setting for 6 hours for similar results.)

6. Once completely cooled, decorate ornaments as desired. Thread ribbon through hole and tie bow.
