After 40 minutes in the oven, you get an intense chocolaty bread with toasted coconut flakes throughout. It’s like eating German chocolate cake for breakfast. Imagine that!
Toasted Coconut & Chocolate High-Protein Bread
Ingredients
2 scoops chocolate whey protein powder
1/3 cup almond flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 Tbsp. honey
2/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 egg
1/8 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a mini loaf pan with nonstick cooking oil or coconut oil.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except coconut flakes. Stir until well combined.
- Stir in coconut flakes until fully incorporated.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake about 40 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, it’s done.
