Mocha Java Protein Shake

You could eat three containers of yogurt, five bowls of oatmeal, five scrambled eggs or 10 pancakes – or, just sip on this simple smoothie for the same amount of protein (30 whopping grams)! This chilly coffee indulgence is the perfect busy-day breakfast for a quick jolt of energy, plus steady fuel throughout the morning thanks to an added scoop of protein powder. If you don’t do dairy, sub in almond, rice or hemp milk for a vegan version instead.

 

Mocha Protein Shake

Ingredients

1 cup skim milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 Tbsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. low-calorie sweetener
2-3 ice cubes

Directions

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
