If you’re hosting a Halloween party:

  • Go green. Use real plates, not paper plates, and choose recycled paper napkins from Seventh Generation
  • Hydrate happily. Serve an assortment of healthy beverages. Since it might be cold, offer hot as well as cold, such as seasonal pumpkin spice tea from Gypsy Tea. And for cold beverages, try no-sugar-added Zevia soda that’s also free of artificial sweeteners, such as Dr. Zevia. Plus: Coconut water is oh-so-chic, and we love Harvest Bay All Natural Coconut Water.
  • Go crunchy. Got chips? Vitacost does, from R. W. Garcia Flaxseed Chips to Xochitl Organic White Corn Chips.
  • Sweeten the offerings with assorted cookies. Make sure that some are gluten-free, such as Pamela’s Products Gluten-Free and Wheat-Free Chocolate Chunk cookies. And also make sure that some are sugar-free, such as Fifty 50 Sugar-Free Vanilla Wafers.
  • Fix a plate of assorted fresh vegetables and dip. Top with fancy olives, such as Milas Organic Garlic Stuffed Olives. And offer assorted dips, from traditional ones made with sour cream to zero-calorie such as Walden Farms Ranch Veggie Dip.
