Whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza is a hotly debated topic. But, hopefully, the strawberries on this pie will be less controversial. After all, a dessert pizza is a completely different ball of dough than the kind you’d serve for dinner. (Although you do still use regular ol’ pizza dough!) In this recipe, strawberries, soaked with maple syrup, mint and lemon juice, top a velvety, collagen-infused cream cheese spread. So you can have your fruit-topped dessert pizza while supporting your hair, skin, nails and joints!†
Strawberry Mint Dessert Pizza with Collagen
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
In bowl of stand mixer or with hand mixer, combine cream cheese, collagen, sugar and salt. Chill in fridge until ready to use.
In separate mixing bowl, combine strawberries, maple syrup, mint and lemon juice. Set aside to marinate.
Roll out pizza dough on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
To assemble pizza, spread cream cheese mixture on cooled dough. Top with strawberries and an extra drizzle of maple syrup.
