Vanilla Blueberry Smoothie with Hemp & Avocado

Things don’t always turn out the way you plan, especially in the kitchen. You may have had your heart set on a gourmet, over-the-top breakfast, but maybe you accidentally overslept, had guests cancel or the recipe didn’t turn out well. So what do you do when your plans fall through? You go back to the basics. What has always been one of your favorite healthy breakfasts? A nutrient-packed smoothie, of course! Blend a handful of ingredient together, including coconut water, blueberries, avocado and hemp seeds, and you get a refreshing, invigorating breakfast that’s sure to start the day off right.

Serves 1

Ingredients

1 cup organic coconut water
1/2 cup organic fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup ice
1/2 small Hass avocado
2 Tbsp. hemp seeds
2 Tbsp. organic maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. In blender, add coconut water. Follow with remaining ingredients.
  2. Process until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Serve immediately.
