Grilled Vegetable Pizza With Balsamic Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 12-inch pizza crust homemade or packaged
  • 1-1/3 cups grated Gruyere or Swiss cheese
Grilled vegetables
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.
  2. Place prepped vegetables on grilling mat or equivalent.
  3. In small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce and garlic powder. Brush mixture on vegetables. On grill over medium flame, cook vegetables until browned and tender.
  4. In bowl, combine tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, basil, oregano, rosemary and marjoram. Spread sauce on prepared pizza crust. Top with grilled vegetables followed by cheese.
  5. Bake 15-18 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is lightly browned.
Recipe Notes

Substitute with any favorite seasonal vegetables. Grilling vegetables brings out the sweetness, complementing the spicy balsamic sauce. Feel free to vary the cheese; Provolone and feta work well.
