It’s okay to be that friend. You pack your own food when you travel and bake with almond flour to lighten up a sweet treat. And when you get invited to a backyard BBQ, you bring the mayo-free coleslaw. This recipe isn’t just another healthified version of an original favorite, though. It aims to please with chunks of fresh, crisp red apples, a drizzle of honey and a touch of cinnamon. Sure, the yogurt provides protein and a creaminess that matches mayonnaise. But that’s just because you’re a good friend with extremely good taste.
Ingredients
4 cups coleslaw mix
1 red apple, chopped
5 oz. plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup rice vinegar
2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Juice of 1 lemon
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine coleslaw and apple.
