This year, let’s skip sweet potato casserole. Switch up your sides and whip up this candied yams recipe. Sliced yams are soaked and cooked in maple-brown sugar syrup for a dish that tastes like dessert. This one-pan wonder comes together in about 30 minutes, but will leave a lasting impression on you and your dinner guests.
One-Pan Candied Yams
In large sauce pan or cast iron skillet, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut oil, pumpkin spice and salt. Bring to a boil, then decrease heat to medium-low so it continues to bubble.
Add yam slices to skillet and cook for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
