Some recipes conjure up cherished childhood memories, like Mom baking your favorite birthday cake and making sure you get the biggest slice with the most icing. She spoiled you then the way these birthday cake blondies are going to spoil you — and maybe your own children — now. You might think your metabolism can’t handle that kind of decadence anymore, but you’d be wrong. Here’s a smooth, satisfying dessert that holds the carbs and ups the protein, all the while brightening your day with must-have rainbow sprinkles — ’cause Mom would never forget those!
