You can, however, make a change to your daily diet that would greatly improve your overall well-being. Believe it or not, this chocolate-coated caramels recipe is one step in the right direction. Made without refined sugar, you’ll be munching on nothing but naturally sweetened, totally satisfying candy.

Chocolate-Covered Caramels

Ingredients

4 scoops vanilla protein powder
¼ cup coconut flour
2 cups pitted dates
1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup stevia-sweetened dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Coat an 8” x 8” pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a food processor, add all ingredients (except chocolate chips) and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
  4. In a small bowl, microwave chocolate chips on 20-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth.
  5. Pour melted chocolate over caramel and freeze until mixture has hardened. Cut into squares when ready to eat.
