Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Got a beef with burgers? I sure do! Why is it that so many people can’t think beyond beef when it comes to burgers? You can create flavorful and juicy patties with ground turkey – and they’re better for you, too! These turkey burgers are simply seasoned with tasty spices and cooked on the stove for a winning lunch or dinner. Beef, be gone!

Makes 4 burgers

Ingredients

16 oz. ground turkey, divided into four 4-oz patties (94% lean, not fat-free turkey)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pink salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine spices to make a seasoning mixture.
  2. Heat medium size skillet to medium heat. Place two patties on skillet and sprinkle with seasoning mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Cook until internal temperature is 165 degrees.
  3. Repeat for last two patties.
  4. Serve warm over a salad or on a burger bun.
