So before you finally go insane, nip temptation in the bud with this sweet apple-cinnamon cake. Its warmth and home-style comfort will ease your yearning mind.

Ingredients

4 scoops vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup oat flour
1/4 cup granulated organic cane sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 oz. cinnamon applesauce
1/3 cup water
2 egg whites
1/2 fresh apple, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a cake pan with coconut oil.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together all ingredients (except apple slices) until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and top with apple slices, arranging into a flower shape or however you like.
  4. Bake approximately 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
