Not another office birthday…it’s probably the tenth invite you’ve gotten this month. Your coworkers take every opportunity for a celebratory break, which is sweet – too sweet. You literally cannot stomach another slice of cake. So when you hit reply this time, offer to bring dessert. This baked chocolate protein donut recipe won’t leave your party-goers face-planted in their keyboards. With a dozen on the desk, you’ll invite a lot less sugar and much more work-free fun.
Ingredients
3 scoops (about 60-70 g) chocolate protein powder
1/2 cup oat flour
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup honey
1 Tbsp. coconut oil
2/3 cup almond milk
1 egg
Glaze + Topping
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
2 Tbsp. almond milk
Rainbow sprinkles (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a doughnut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, add all ingredients and stir to combine.
- Pour batter into greased doughnut pan, filling each well about 2/3 full.
- Bake about 20 minutes, or until edges begin to turn golden.
- While doughnuts are baking, add glaze ingredients to a small bowl. Whisk together, adding milk gradually until you reach desired consistency.
- Note: If protein is not fully mixed, add more milk. If mixture becomes too runny, slowly and carefully add more protein powder.
