Besides, words won’t hold much weight once you’ve served them a frosted treat. Spread this nut-speckled topper over pumpkin cake, vanilla cupcakes or even a batch of brownies. With extra sweetness from powdered sugar and maple syrup, your secretly admired will feel sufficiently buttered up after one bite.

Ingredients

12 oz. low-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. In a stand mixer (or bowl using a hand mixer), add cream cheese and butter and mix until well combined.
  2. Slowly add powdered sugar and syrup and mix to combine.
  3. Finally, fold in pecans. Now it’s ready for a cake, cupcake or eating straight outta the bowl!
