One way to accomplish a new flavor as well as a beautiful presentation is to swap your usual greens with red cabbage. Get even fancier by making your own honey-orange dressing — it’s so easy! Ingredients
Salad
1/2 purple cabbage, thinly sliced
2/3 cup bean sprouts
1/4 cup fresh basil, chiffonade-style cut
Dressing
1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
1 tsp. raw honey
Pinch of salt and pepper
Directions
- Remove leaves from cabbage, discarding anything that is damaged or wilted. Wash and thinly slice cabbage.
- In large bowl, combine cabbage, bean sprouts and basil.
- In small bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients and pour over salad.
- Toss salad and let sit for several minutes to let flavors meld. Serve chilled.
