This isn’t your baby’s applesauce. In this recipe, a grown-up glow-up elevates the traditional nutritional powerhouse to brunch-worthy. Here it’s left textural, with hints of lemon and vanilla – and don’t skip the cinnamon (because cinnamon will forever be apple’s best friend). Galas, which are mildly sweet and crisp, were used in this recipe, but the sweetness depends on the type of apples used. For sweeter sauce, choose Golden Delicious, Fuji or Honeycrisp. Also, a pinch of your preferred sweetener is totally acceptable! Top granola, oatmeal or ice cream, or serve it with homemade pancakes or crêpes for a special treat.
