Nut-Free Roasted Seed Trail Mix

Is your little one’s school a nut-free zone? Thanks to the growing prevalence of peanut allergies, some cafeterias and classrooms have declared certain nuts and legumes off-limits – for good. This unique spin on your typical trail mix recipe is a perfect snack that’s safe to pack! Made from a mixture of roasted seeds, toasted coconut and sweet cherries, it’s kid-friendly, adult-approved and offers an impressive balance of healthy fats, protein and carbs.

Ingredients

1/2 cup roasted pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup toasted coconut chips
1/2 cup dried cherries

Directions

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and toss together. Separate into small zip-top bags for easy snacking!

Serves 8. Per serving: 208 calories, 8 g carbs, 12 g fat, 5 g protein, 10 g sugar
