You eat with your eyes first, so it makes sense that some of the most delicious-looking recipes seem super complicated to the average Joe. But good looks can be deceiving. This peanut butter-oatmeal cookie recipe proves that decadence can be delightfully easy to achieve. All you have to do is toss together four basic ingredients, form the batter into cookies and bake to gooey perfection. Melted chocolate tops them off for an exceptionally eye-catching treat!
Peanut Oatmeal Cookie
Ingredients
½ cup peanut butter
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. honey
1 package chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick baking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except the chocolate chips.
- Using wet hands, roll the dough into balls and place on baking sheet. Flatten the balls a tad to form thick cookie shapes.
- Bake approximately 8 minutes, or until slightly golden on top.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate chips and microwave for 30-second intervals until completely melted.
- Pour melted chocolate into a zipper-top bag and cut off one of the corners. Drizzle chocolate over warm cookie and serve with a glass of milk.
