When you break it down to basics, a smoothie bowl is a heck of a lot like soft serve. Think of it that way if you’d like – or if you’re trying to gently healthy-up a significant other – but what you’re really getting is creamy, fruity, plant-based nutrition. This recipe calls for frozen banana and raspberries blended with plant-based milk and some healthy dashes of chia seeds, hemp hearts and oats. And then comes the best part – the toppings! Add a crumbled Simple Mills soft-baked bar, a spoonful of shredded coconut or some goji berries for added nutrients, fiber, protein and fun!
Raspberry Smoothie Bowl
Optional Toppings: sliced banana, fresh raspberries, goji berries, chia seeds, shredded coconut
In high-speed blender, combine milk, oats, chia seeds, hemp hearts, vanilla extract, raspberries and banana. Blend until smooth, scraping sides as needed.
Transfer mixture to bowl and garnish with crumbled Simple Mills Soft-Baked Bar and other toppings of choice.
