Ingredients
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk or plant-based milk of choice
- 1/4 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp. cherry juice
- 1-2 Tbsp. maple syrup adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- Pinch Celtic sea salt
Optional toppings
- Vegan whipped cream
- Sliced almonds
- Fresh cherries
Instructions

In medium saucepan over medium heat, warm almond milk, whisking often, until it begins to steam. (Note: Don’t let it boil.)

To saucepan, add dark chocolate chips and whisk with milk until melted and smooth.

Add cocoa powder, cherry juice, maple syrup, almond extract and salt. Whisk until everything is fully combined. Taste hot chocolate and adjust sweetness or cherry flavor, as needed.
