by | Updated: December 29th, 2021

Pears come into season in the winter months, so why not look for more ways to enjoy them? For your consideration, bake them in a cake! This delicious, elegant and better-for-you dessert “pears” perfectly with hot tea on a cold day. Made with gluten-free flour, apple pie spice and no dairy or egg, this vegan version is as wholesome as it is delectable. Any type of pears will do in this recipe (and there are many!), but sweet, crisp Bosc, Anjou and Asian pears hold up beautifully in baking. Its impressive presentation and sweetly spiced taste are sure to chase away the chill.
