Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In large mixing bowl, place cubed toast.
  3. In stock pot with water, simmer celery and onion 5 minutes; drain and add to bowl with toasted bread.
  4. Add remaining ingredients to the large mixing bowl. (Note: Crush spices finer, if needed.)
  5. Stir stuffing until well incorporated and all pieces are moist. In 11x7-inch baking pan, spread out stuffing mixture.

  6. Bake 45 minutes, until top is browned and middle is still moist.
