Ingredients
Tamale Pie
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1 cup black beans
- 1 cup diced tomatoes canned or fresh
Topping:
- 2 cups masa harina
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. egg replacer + 2 Tbsp. water
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

In a medium pot, cook ground beef on medium-high heat until cooked through.

Drain any excess fat by pushing meat to one side of pot, absorbing oil with paper towels. (Note: Take caution working with hot oil.)

Stir in spices, corn, beans and tomatoes.

Pour meat and veggies into a cast iron skillet or 9-inch baking pan.

In medium mixing bowl, stir together masa, salt, water, milk and egg.

Evenly spread masa over meat and veggie mixture.

Bake 20-25 minutes until brown on top.
