Ingredients
- 1-½ cups gluten-free flour
- ½ cup oat flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground cloves
- 2 Tbsp. apple butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. flax meal plus 3 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. brown cane sugar
- 1-¼ cups plant-based milk
- ½ cup plant-based butter
- 1 apple small dice

Lightly grease waffle maker and set to low heat.

In large bowl, combine sifted flours, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and baking powder.

In small bowl, combine flax meal and 3 tablespoons water to create flax egg. Let sit to gel.

In another bowl, whisk together diced apples, oat milk and sugar. Add flax egg and whisk to combine.

In pot or deep pan on medium heat, heat butter, stirring with wooden spoon, until it begins to foam, smell nutty and turn light brown.

Pour brown butter into wet mixture and whisk well.

Incorporate all wet mixture into dry mixture, mixing at continuous pace until smooth and creamy.
