Basic Cooking Instructions


Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Slowly whisk in cereal, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 2 minutes.


Servings Cereal Water Salt
1 Serving 1/4 cup 3/4 cup pinch
2 Servings 1/2 cup 1 1/2 cups 1/8 tsp
3 Servings 3/4 cup 2 1/4 cups 1/4 tsp
4 Servings 1 cup 3 cups 1/4 tsp


Microwave: Combine 1/4 cup cereal, 3/4 cup water and a pinch of salt in a microwave safe bowl. Stir Stir well. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until water is fully absorbed, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Let stand for 2 minutes.

Cheese Crackers Recipe

Zesty, crunchy and oh so satisfying, this cheese crackers recipe is made with five super simple ingredients. Pull out your stand mixer and paddle to combine cheddar cheese, softened butter, flour, garlic salt and cold water. Chill, roll thin and bake 1-inch squares for familiar cheesy crackers with real, parent-approved ingredients that adults and kids can devour together.

Cheese Crackers Recipe

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. salted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup Bob's Red Mill® Organic Unbleached All-Purpose White Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cold water
  1. In stand mixer bowl with paddle attachment, combine shredded cheese, butter, flour and garlic salt. Mix on high until combined.
  2. With mixer running, add cold water 1 tablespoon at a time. Refrain from adding more water, though the dough will look dry. Mix on medium for 1 minute. (Note: The dough should come together and clear sides of the bowl.)
  3. Form dough into two discs, wrap in plastic and chill in refrigerator 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  4. On parchment paper, roll chilled dough ?–¼-inch thick. Transfer dough and parchment paper to baking sheet. Cut dough into 1-inch squares. Repeat with second disc of dough.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, rotating halfway through. Crackers will separate and darken slightly in color. Leave crackers to cool on baking sheet; they will crisp as they cool. Serve immediately or store in airtight container.
