Greek Chicken Kebabs With Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

We’re in the dog days of summer, when long, lazy backyard BBQs are darn-near mandatory on the weekends. If you’re like us, by this point you might be experiencing burger and hot dog fatigue, and are searching for something different. Look no further – we’ve got you covered with delicious, easy-to-make kebabs and a simple dipping sauce. It’s the perfect way to switch up the flavors of summer and great for the whole family. Let’s get cooking!

Makes 10 skewers | 4-5 servings
Macros per serving: 380 calories | 95 mg sodium | 12 g fat | 8 g saturated fat | 8 g carbs | 8 g sugar | 12 g protein

Kebab Skewers
1.5 lbs. chicken thighs, trimmed of excess fat and cut into 1”cubes
3 Tbsp. Taste of Greece seasoning
1 lb. white pearl onions
5 yellow bell peppers
3 medium-sized zucchinis

Tzatziki Dipping Sauce
1-1/2 cups unsweetened Greek yogurt
3 Tbsp. Taste of Greece seasoning
1 lemon 

Directions

  1. In small mixing bowl, coat chicken with seasoning.
  2. On cutting board, slice veggies into cubes.
  3. Working in a pattern, load skewers: bell pepper, chicken, onion, zucchini; repeat.
  4. On medium-heat grill, layer skewers. Cook for 8 minutes, flipping at the halfway mark.
  5. Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine seasoning, Greek yogurt and juice from lemon. Stir to combine.
  6. Remove skewers and serve with dipping sauce.
