Warnings
Not for use during pregnancy. Fenugreek may cause gastric upset or gassiness in the mom or baby. Motherlove blends fenugreek with fennel, which is a digestive aid, to help counteract this possible side effect. Fenugreek may block the absoption of thyroid medication, and some mothers notice a slight maple syrup smell to their sweat and/or urine. Both goat's rue and fenugreek, when taken in larger doses, may lower blood sugar so mothers on insulin should inform their healthcare provider if they are taking these herbs.
