Simply Organic Cardamom Description
Simply Organic® Organic Cardamom comes from ground fruit seeds from the cardamom plant (Elettaria cardamomum). Cardamom is considered to be one of the world’s oldest spices. It is often called the 'queen of spices' alongside the 'king of spices', black pepper.

Simply Organic Cardamom contains no seed pods. It is aromatic with an intense, slightly sweet-and-spicy flavor that works great with potatoes, beans, meat dishes, curry, bread, tea, coffee, and more!

The heart of the world's cardamom supply is found in the mountains surrounding the Polochic river basin in Guatemala. While India actually produces more cardamom than Guatemala, almost all of it is consumed in India. The Guatemalan harvest begins in September and concludes in February. Most of the cardamom is grown on small farms, often on steep and rugged terrain.

Sesame & Honey Roasted Chickpeas
Bag the chips, ditch the pretzels and pass the chickpeas, please! Reminiscent of Greek sesame and honey bars, these crunchy, sweet and nutty nuggets are craveable
and healthy. Pop them in the oven for a no-fuss trip to snacking bliss. You can name all of the ingredients, but you won’t want to – you’d rather be crunching away happily.
Sesame & Honey Roasted Chickpeas
- 1 can organic chickpeas
- 2 Tbsp. organic honey
- ¼ cup melted vegan butter (or organic coconut oil)
- ½ Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- Pinch Himalayan salt
- ½ tsp. organic ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp. organic brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Optional: 1/3 tsp. ground cardamom
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rinse chickpeas and dry well. Remove loose skins.
- Spread chickpeas on baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes to completely dry out.
- In bowl, whisk together butter, honey, sesame oil, cinnamon, sugar, cardamom and salt.
- Add chickpeas to honey mixture and toss to coat.
- Spread coated chickpeas back onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until caramelized.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds immediately after removing from oven. Let cool 10 minutes and serve.
