1. Contains a source of protease, which can hydrolyze proteins. 1 HUT equals the amount of enzyme that produces, in 1 minute under the specified conditions, a hydrolysate whose absorbance at 275 nm is the same as that of a solution containing 1.10 ug per ml of tyrosine in 0.006N hydrochloric acid.
2. Contains a source of alpha-amylase, which can hydrolyze starch. 1 SKB equals the number of grams of soluble starch dextrinized, in the presence of excess B-amylase, per hour at 40° C pH 5.0.
3. Contains a source of lipase, which can hydrolyze triglycerides. 1 FIP equals that quantity of a standard lipase preparation that liberates the equivalent of 1 umol of fatty acid from olive oil per minute under the described assay conditions.
4. Contains a source of glucoamylase, which canhydrolyze starch with production of glucose. 1 AG unit of glucoamylase activity is defined as the amount of glucoamylase that will liberate 0.1 umol/min of p-nitrophenol from the PNPG Solution at pH 4.3 and 50° C.
5. Contains a source of protease, which can hydrolyze proteins. 1 SAP equals the activity that will liberate 1 umol of tyrosine per min under the conditions specified.
6.Contains a source of cellulase, which breaks down cellulose. 1 CU equals enzymatic hydrolysis of the interior B-1, 4-glucosidic bonds of a defined carboxymethyl cellulose substrate at pH 4.5 and at 40° C.
7. Contains a source of Alpha Galactosidase, which can hydrolyze oligosaccharides. 1 GAL unit is defined as the quantity of the enzyme that will liberate 4-nitrophenol at the rate of 1 umol/mL/min at pH 5.5 and 37° C.
