Yerba Mate

Yerba Mate

Derived from the leaves of a South American plant in the holly family, yerba mate contains many of the same compounds found in the Camellia sinensis plant (used to make white, black, green and oolong teas), including polyphenols.

For centuries, people in central and southern South America have consumed yerba mate tea, a beverage simply known as mate, for rejuvenating purposes. Today, this herb is now available in supplement form, offering a convenient way to consume it.
