Pasta and protein don't typically have a working relationship, but when your favorite comfort foods come packed with protein, there's no reason you can't eat more of them. We re-thought pasta from the ground up, so you won't have to give dinner a second thought.
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil (about 8 cups).
- Add Banza and stir immediately.
- Cook to desired firmness, stirring occasionally. about 7-9 mins (expect some foam).
- Strain and rinse with water. Enjoy with your favorite sauce.

Vegan Mac and Cheese With Broccoli
- 2 cups pasta (uncooked, gluten-free or regular)
- 1-1/2 cups shredded vegan cheese
- 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1-1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- While pasta is cooking, add fresh broccoli to last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Drain pasta and broccoli, add back to cooking pot and stir in cheese and milk. Add spices. Stir until combined.
- Serve warm.
If preferred, broccoli can be roasted before adding to drained cooked pasta. Roast on sheet pan in oven at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes.
