Garlic has a strong, sharp odor and a savory, hot, slightly bitter flavor. The compounds in garlic responsible for its penetrating aroma and flavor are valued for both their health benefits and their culinary qualities. Frontier® Garlic Granules are compatible with virtually every savory food. Their color is creamy-white with a minimal amount of brown or green specks from the garlic skins or tops. Add garlic granules directly to soups, dressings, stews, casseroles, sauces and gravies, marinades, pickles and dressings. Frontier garlic granules are kosher certified and non-irradiated.

Carrot Herbed Meatballs

This outstanding beef meatball recipe rolls together organic grass-fed beef, finely grated carrots, jasmine rice and a blend of flavorful seasonings including turmeric and cayenne pepper. Sear them in a pan for a moist and tender texture, creating a burst of delightful flavors. Ideal atop a bed of spaghetti with your preferred sauce, these versatile meatballs can be enjoyed in countless ways to suit your taste.

Beef Meatballs With Carrot & Rice in Pottery Bowl

Carrot Herbed Meatballs

  • 1 lb. organic grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 lb. organic carrots (peeled and grated)
  • 6 oz. cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 large free-range egg (whisked)
  • 2 Tbsp. gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. avocado oil
  1. Place grated carrots in clean cloth or cheesecloth and squeeze out excess moisture. Set aside.
  2. In bowl, combine carrot, beef, rice, egg, flour and spices using your hands to knead mixture until mixed well.
  3. With wet hands, portion mixture into roughly 2-inch meatballs.
  4. In large skillet, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. When oil is heated well, add meatballs (in batches if necessary) and brown on all sides, about 6 - 8 minutes.
  5. Serve as desired.
