Frontier Co-op® Organic Sage Leaf (Botanical name: Salvia officinalis), is a member of the Lamiaceae, or mint family that produces flavorful sage leaves. It is native to the Mediterranean region and grown and harvested in Europe and North America. Other names such as garden sage, meadow sage, and true sage have been used for the herb. This item is organic. No artificial additives or chemicals are used at any stage of the growing process.


Sage leaves are a very common ingredient found in homemade stuffing around the world. The minty flavor enhances entrees and prepared meals alike! It goes great with rosemary or garlic herbs and powders to enhance pork chops, stews, chicken, and more.


The fuzzy, gray-green leaves of sage carry a sweet and earthy flavor with a minty, menthol-like aroma. This minty, yet earthy flavor also carries hints of pine, making this a great addition to holiday dishes.


Frontier Co-op Organic sage leaf is grown and harvested in Albania. Our sage leaves are dried out and then cut and sifted to create a flavorful blend. No artificial additives or chemicals are used during any part of the growing and harvesting processes. This product is also 100% non-irradiated and Kosher certified.

Oven Roasted Carrots in Garlic Brown Butter

  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted grass-fed butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 lb. carrots (peeled and sliced into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. dried sage
  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. In 12-inch cast iron skillet on medium heat, melt butter, stirring near continuously, until it begins to become light brown. Remove from heat.
  3. Add carrots and garlic to skillet and toss so all are coated.
  4. Stir in honey, salt, pepper, thyme and sage.
  5. Roast in oven 25-30 minutes, or until carrots are soft.
