Simple Truth™ Xanthan Gum is a great additive for thickening - helping to mix liquids that normally don't mix together well and to thicken the viscosity of both liquids and batters. It is especially great for gluten free baking in order to give baked goods the properties, like "doughy" elasticity and rise, that they are missing without the gluten.
