Mustard ground can be used in salads, pickle brine and curry dishes. Add 1/2 teaspoon to 4 cups liquid in curry dishes and soups.


Applications for our ground yellow mustard powder is almost endless, you can enhance the taste profile of your salad dressings, add some to your favorite spice rub, or sprinkle a pinch into mayonnaise to bring your bread spread to a different level. Mixing our yellow ground mustard seeds with water will create an enzymatic reaction which will bring out its pungency and heat, if that is a bit too much, use extra hot water or an acidic product like vinegar or lemon juice to help mellow out the flavors.

Easy Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce

  • ¼ cup Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Yeast
  • ¼ cup Bob’s Red Mill Almond Protein Powder
  • ¼ tsp. onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. cumin
  • Pinch dry mustard powder
  • Pinch paprika
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • Pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice
  • ¼-½ cup water

Optional garnish: fajita seasoning

  1. In bowl, whisk together almond protein powder, nutritional yeast, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, mustard, paprika and black pepper.
  2. Whisk in lime juice and ¼ cup of water. If needed, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired texture is reached
  3. To serve warm, microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
