Organic Light Brown Sugar
We make our moist organic light brown sugar from freshly squeezed organic cane juice which is evaporated and crystallized the same day it is harvested. This soft brown sugar has warm caramel flavor, ideal for cakes, cookies and sauces. It also makes a delightful topping for oatmeal, crumbles and streusel.
Directions
Storage: Seal tightly after opening. Do not refrigerate. If sugar gets hard, pour in bowl, cover with a wet towel and leave overnight. Fluff with fork and use or reseal.

Apple Cinnamon Spice Bread

This Apple Cinnamon Bread is a straightforward mix-and-bake recipe, filled with real ingredients such as apple sauce and warm spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Fill your home with the irresistible smell of freshly baked bread and your tummies will soon follow.
Apple Cinnamon Spice Bread
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 apple (cut into half slices)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In medium mixing bowl, whisk milk with sugars, olive oil, applesauce and egg.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- Pour into large loaf pan.
- Top with apple slices.
- Bake 50 minutes, until middle is cooked through.
- Create a cinnamon crumble by mixing brown sugar with cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle on top before baking.
- Make into muffins if desired. Instead of pouring into loaf pan, pour into prepared muffin liners.
