Directions

Delicious, ideal pick-me up at home, work, sports or gym. perfect taken 3 times daily - upon arising, mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

 

1 to 2 tsps Bragg Organic Vinegar in 8 oz glass Purified Water and (optional) to taste, 1 to 2 tsps Organic Honey, 100% Maple Syrup. Blackstrap Molasses or 4 drops herb Stevia.

 

If sediment occurs, shake gently before using.

Honey-Sesame Chicken With Ginger (Gluten-Free)

In this better-for-you version of sesame chicken, the balanced sweet and savory flavors come alive in a coating of tangy sauce. A light tempura batter comes together with a clever mix of gluten-free pancake mix and eggs (no cornstarch here). The sweetness in the sauce comes from a high-grade manuka honey instead of refined sugar. Prep and cook time clock in at 30 minutes for piping hot, beautifully seasoned Asian-style chicken that you’ll feel good about eating. Honey Sesame Chicken with Ginger on Oval Platter

Honey-Sesame Chicken With Ginger (Gluten-Free)

  • Sesame oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 lb. chicken thighs (boneless and skinless, cut into 1-inch chunks)
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. minced ginger
  • Dash sea salt

Tempura batter

  • 1 cup King Arthur Gluten-Free Pancake Mix
  • 2 organic pasture-raised eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Sesame sauce

  • 1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 1/4 cup Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup PRI Manuka Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. King Arthur Pancake Mix
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp. toasted sesame oil

Garnish

  • Green onions (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  1. In mixing bowl, whisk together all ingredients for batter.
  2. Add chicken pieces to batter and stir to coat.
  3. In bowl, add all sauce ingredients and stir until well combined.
  4. In large wok or frying pan, heat 1-inch oil until hot. Carefully add chicken in batches, frying until golden-brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. In separate frying pan over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil, add garlic, ginger, salt and red pepper flakes and stir fry 30 seconds. Stir in sauce until well combined and hot. Add chicken and coat quickly.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes: Serve with steamed broccoli or green beans and rice if desired.
