Vegan Peach Pecan Crumble (Gluten-Free)

Crumbles, cobblers and crisps are all heavenly baked fruit desserts with different types of pastry toppings. Crumbles are finished with a crunchy streusel made with flour and pecans. Making this sweet, golden crumb topping is easier than you think. Just combine ground nuts and flour with coconut sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup and buttery flavored coconut oil. Your family and guests will devour this easy-to-make warm-weather favorite that allows peaches to shine as the summertime stars that they are. Peach Dessert with Pecan Crumble Topping

Vegan Peach Pecan Crumble (Gluten-Free)

  • 6 large ripe peaches (washed, pitted and sliced)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (ground)
  • ½ tsp. cardamom (ground)
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. arrowroot powder

Crumble topping

  • 1-1/2 cups gluten-free flour
  • ½ cup ground pecans
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. bourbon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Nutiva Organic Coconut Oil with Buttery Flavor (melted and cooled)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
  2. In medium mixing bowl, add peaches, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, coconut sugar, lemon juice and arrowroot powder, stir to combine.
  3. To 9-inch glass pie dish or other oven-safe dish, add mixture and spread out evenly.
  4. In separate bowl, whisk together flour, pecans, cinnamon and coconut sugar.
  5. In small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, bourbon vanilla extract and melted coconut oil.
  6. Pour maple syrup mixture into bowl with flour mixture and stir to combine thoroughly and form crumble.
  7. Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over fruit in pie plate.
  8. Bake 35-40 minutes until fruit is bubbly and topping is lightly browned and crispy.
  9. Serve warm as is or with “nice” cream or whipped coconut cream.
