Kidney Beans Michigan and New York grown on Eden organic USA family farms. Mild sweet flavor, jam-packed antioxidant dark red skin. The chili bean. High quality vegetable protein, rich in fiber, thiamin, and manganese. Great with grains, in soups, stews, salads, chili, and dips. Farmers we know and trust.
Soak: Wash beans, cover with 3 inches water. Soak 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Water plants with soaking water.
Or: Place in a pot with 3 inches water, bring to a boil, turn off flame, cover, and let sit 11/2 hours. Discard soaking water.
Cook: Place 3 cups of water per 1 cup of soaked beans in a heavy pot. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce flame, and simmer at least 1 1/2 hours.
Note: 1/2 cup dry beans = 1 1/2 cup cooked.
