Directions

Pancakes

1 cup Bob's Red Mill® Homestyle Pancake & Waffle Mix

2/3 cup cold Water

 

heat a lightly greased griddle or pan over medium heat. In a bowl, stir pancake mix and water until just combined. Pour 1/4-cup portions of batter onto the hot griddle or pan. Cook until bubbly, then flip and cook until center is set, about 1-2 minutes per side. Serve immediately. Makes 6 pancakes.

 

Waffles

1 1/4 cups Bob's Red Mill® Homestyle Pancake & Waffle Mix

2/3 cup cold Water

2 Tbsp Oil

 

Preheat waffle iron to medium heat for at least 10 minutes. In a bowl, stir all ingredients until just combined. Follow waffle iron manufacturer's instructions for measuring and cooking waffles. Makes about 3 waffles.

Homemade Elevated Applesauce

This isn’t your baby’s applesauce. In this recipe, a grown-up glow-up elevates the traditional nutritional powerhouse to brunch-worthy. Here it’s left textural, with hints of lemon and vanilla – and don’t skip the cinnamon (because cinnamon will forever be apple’s best friend). Galas, which are mildly sweet and crisp, were used in this recipe, but the sweetness depends on the type of apples used. For sweeter sauce, choose Golden Delicious, Fuji or Honeycrisp. Also, a pinch of your preferred sweetener is totally acceptable! Top granola, oatmeal or ice cream, or serve it with homemade pancakes or crêpes for a special treat. Homemade Elevated Applesauce

  • 3 cups peeled/diced apple (4 medium apples)
  • 1-½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest (optional)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  1. In medium saucepan, bring all ingredients to boil. Stir, cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  2. Serve warm or chilled.
