What Makes Them Special?

Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs are unique because they are made from bread that has been custom baked to make airy, crispy crumbs. Then the crumbs are toasted to a delicate crunch that won't burn as easily during cooking. And since they are unseasoned, Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs will combine perfectly with all types of seasoning ingredients.

Use Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs like you would any regular crumb. They're an excellent coating for fried seafood, poultry, vegetables and meats-even fruits! And as a crunchy topping for casseroles and baked foods, they're unbeatable.

Directions

For frying: Start by seasoning Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs according to the recipe and your taste. Dust your favorite food with flour and dip into a beaten egg, then coat evenly with Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs. Deep-fry or pan-fry according to the recipe. Serve hot.

For baking: Mix Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs with a little vegetable or olive oil, add desired seasonings like ground spices, herbs, prated hard cheeses or chopped nuts. Sprinkle over your casserole and bake.

After opening, store Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs in cool, dry place.

Baked Sauerkraut Bites

  • ½ lb. ground grass-fed beef or ground sausage
  • 2 Tbsp. grass-fed butter
  • ½ large or 1 small yellow onion, ( diced)
  • ½ cup red bell pepper (diced)
  • ½ cup green bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 cups sauerkraut
  • ¾ cup plain cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1-½ cups panko bread crumbs (divided)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  1. In sauté pan over medium heat, cook meat until brown throughout. Drain and set aside.
  2. In same pan, melt butter and sauté onions and peppers until soft, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Transfer mixture to large bowl; refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  6. Using hands or small ice cream scoop, form about 2 Tbsp. of mixture into bite-sized balls. Roll balls in bread crumbs, then arrange on baking sheet.
  7. In bowl, whisk eggs and use brush to coat each ball with wash.
  8. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
