Edible Cookie Dough – Three Ways
If you’re the kind of person who thinks heaven is sneaking a taste of cookie dough from the mixing bowl, pull up a comfy stool, kindred. We’ve got homemade edible cookie dough three ways! First off, it’s best to use a grain-free flour because they’re safe to eat raw – think
almond flour and other nut flours,
coconut flour,
flaxseed flour and
oat flour. If you’re going to use wheat flour, eliminate any bacteria risks by toasting it at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes, or microwaving it for 90 seconds to reach the recommended 160 degrees F.
Now you’re good to go! Because this dough is eggless, using a splash of
almond milk will keep it decadent and moist. Roll it into bite-sized balls or lick it off the spoon. Either way, it may feel a bit naughty, but that’s part of the fun!
