DIY Gingerbread Lip Scrub
Dry lips are one of the many dreaded skin discomforts associated with chilly winter weather—thanks to the dryness in the air and frigid temps, which draw moisture out of our skin. Before applying moisturizer to your lips, be sure to use an exfoliating scrub to eliminate dead skin cells. This homemade gingerbread lip scrub is easy to make and loaded with seasonal scents to nourish your lips and ensure they’re hydrated for hours!

Ingredients
1/3 cup extra virgin coconut oil, slightly melted
2 drops cinnamon essential oil
2 drops ginger essential oil
1 drop nutmeg essential oil
3 Tbsp. raw cane sugar or raw coconut sugar
1 tsp. molasses

Directions
1. Spoon coconut oil into ramekin. To soften, use double boiler method or simply place ramekin on coffee maker hot plate, turn machine and heat until slightly melted (but not liquefied).
2. Stir in sugar and essential oil. Spoon into small glass pot with lid. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to harden. Store until ready to use.
3. To apply, gently rub onto lips after showering or before applying makeup. Remove and wash off with warm cloth.
