Easy Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce

In this recipe, Bob’s Red Mill Almond Protein Powder and nutritional yeast whisk into the same smooth consistency and cheesy flavor as traditional nacho cheese. Plentiful with plant-based protein and calcium, this savory sauce won’t last long on your table. Take our advice and make a double batch!
Easy Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce
- ¼ cup Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Yeast
- ¼ cup Bob’s Red Mill Almond Protein Powder
- ¼ tsp. onion powder
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder
- ¼ tsp. cumin
- Pinch dry mustard powder
- Pinch paprika
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- Pinch ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice
- ¼-½ cup water
Optional garnish: fajita seasoning
- In bowl, whisk together almond protein powder, nutritional yeast, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, mustard, paprika and black pepper.
- Whisk in lime juice and ¼ cup of water. If needed, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired texture is reached
- To serve warm, microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
