Homemade Pumpkin Cream Cheese Frosting

Sometimes, cake has too much frosting. So you scrape it to save a few calories and cut down on the sweetness. This NOT one of those times. This is also not a traditional pumpkin recipe. In place of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, you’ll taste a powerful mix of ginger and garlic. 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
3 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. Chinese five spices


  1. In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients.
  2. Using a hand mixer, beat on low until mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Spread frosting over your favorite fall cake, cupcake or cookies.
