DIY Avocado Oil Hair Mask
Avocado oil is a rich source of monounsaturated fats and a fantastic beauty-boosting oil to add to your routine! Mix it with coconut oil and a smell-good essential oil to create a homemade hair treatment that’ll nourish your locks with healthy moisture and shine.

Ingredients
1/2 cup Vitacost Cold-Pressed Avocado Oil
2 tbsp. liquid coconut oil
Your favorite essential oil such as spearmint, lavender or rosemary
Optional: juice from 1 lemon (for added vitamin C and extra shine)

Directions
1. For the best emulsification, blend ingredients in small blender and apply directly to dry hair (dry hair soaks up oils better than wet hair).
2. Rub mixture in really well and leave on hair for at least 2 hours. If you have leftovers, store it for later and use it again in a week.
Tip: If you don’t have liquid coconut oil on hand, you’ll need to melt regular coconut oil first before mixing the oils together since it’s solid at room temperatures at 70 degrees F or below.
